Who runs this site

Adult Family Home Finder (adultfamilyhomesinwashington.com) is an independent Washington State directory of licensed adult family homes, made in the Pacific Northwest. We are not a placement agency and we are not affiliated with DSHS or any care home. Questions: contact@gritdigi.com.

Where the listing data comes from

Every home listed here holds a license from the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS). Home names, addresses, phone numbers, license numbers, capacity, specialty designations, and inspection records come from DSHS public records — the same information anyone can look up on the state's own AFH Locator. We refresh our snapshot regularly and link every listing to the state lookup so you can verify it yourself. Some listings also show information the home publishes on its own website, or ratings from Google.

What we collect from you

• Families browsing: nothing personal. No account is required. Your call list and notes are stored only in your own browser (localStorage) — they are never sent to us.
• Owners claiming a listing: the claim form asks for the home's name, city, and a phone number so we can verify the license and call you back. That's all it's used for.
• Email: if you email us, we keep the thread so we can respond.

What we don't do

We do not sell family or visitor information. Ever. We don't sell leads, we don't share your browsing with data brokers, and homes marked "Featured" are simply paying for placement on this site — they receive no information about you unless you contact them yourself.

Correcting a listing

Own or operate a home listed here? You can claim your listing free to update its details, or email contact@gritdigi.com with your license number and the correction. If state record data looks wrong, we'll re-check it against the DSHS lookup and fix our copy — the state's own record always wins.

Third-party services

Listing pages embed maps and street imagery from Google and OpenStreetMap; loading those may share your IP address with those providers under their own privacy policies. Links to DSHS documents go to the state's fortress.wa.gov site.
